In the Asia-Pacific region, AB InBev manages 42 breweries, including facilities in China, India, Vietnam, and South Korea. Implementing VPU requires frontline teams to execute standardized processes, but traditional training methods—often paper-based—were inefficient, hard to understand, and time-consuming. With the added challenge of retiring skilled labor and a growing need for rapid upskilling, AB InBev sought an innovative solution to enhance training and knowledge sharing.
DeepHow’s AI-powered platform provided AB InBev with the ability to digitize training materials into dynamic video-based formats, making standard operating procedures (SOPs) visual, accessible, and easy to understand. Led by Huang Lifang from the Zone VPU team, the rollout began in 28 core breweries in China. After three years of careful piloting, iteration, and scaling, DeepHow was fully implemented across all 42 breweries in the region by 2022. The platform became a vital resource for frontline teams, integrated seamlessly into AB InBev’s VPU strategy and broader digital transformation goals.
